Why I love Camp Horizons: Everything about it is what makes summer, summer!

Usually in the summer I go to camp but I don't really like it. Camp Horizons is different because you get to choose everything you want to do so you're never forced to do something boring. The counselors are really nice and care about all the campers. The staff is very friendly. There is an activity for everyone. Even though this is only my first year at Camp Horizons, I already love it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my summer camp experience. This is a camp for independent children who want to follow their own path. Of course, camp is wonderful if you know people and have friends. But this camp puts a lot of emphasis on children never feeling left out or alone. This makes camp a superb choice for any child. This is an exceedingly multifaceted and diverse camp, but everybody manages to blend and get along well. This makes camp special. This camp truly stands out and has been a wonderful and welcoming caring environment.

Camp Horizons is a great camp! The counselors are very fun and care about campers. There are many activities to choose from such as Capture the Flag, In-Line Skating, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Pottery Wheel, Rocketry, Photography and many others. I have been to many camps and I think this camp is the best! I recommend this camp to anyone who likes Sports, Arts and Crafts, and most any activity you could think of.

Camp Horizons has many strong points which drives me to come back every summer. One of the many reasons is that the schedule is so accommodating with what my interests are. Another nice thing is that the counselors seem to enjoy what they are doing and they always are willing to help a camper in need. Those are only some of the many positive reasons I enjoy coming back again, but don't take it from me… I've only been here for 8 years!

I love camp. This is my first summer at Camp Horizons and I must say it has been the most favorite summer of my life. What makes camp great is the nice staff and that there are so many choices of activities. I have made so many great friends that I know I will keep through the years. I have attended different camps, and I must say Camp Horizons has been, by far, my favorite.

Camp Horizons is made special by the counselors and campers, both of whom make sure that you fit in from day one. You are given so many choices regarding how to spend your summer that you will always get to do something you like. I have been going to Camp Horizons as a camper for 6 years now, and have been happy with my summers since the beginning.

I like Camp Horizons because it is different from all other day camps. The ordinary day camp will have campers in a group going from activity to activity, but Camp Horizons lets us choose whatever activities we like. Another reason why I returned to this camp is because two of my best friends come here. It is also very easy to make new friends here.

I like Camp Horizons mostly because of the awesome counselors. All of them are extremely nice and fun to be around. I also like getting to choose what I want to do, and like being able to do that with people that I have common interests with. It is much more fun to not only be doing what you like all day, but also being with people and counselors who feel the same. All in all, Camp Horizons has always been a great place to spend the summer.

This is my first year attending Camp Horizons. Camp Horizons is known as the "Camp of Choice." That's why I enjoy every day here. There is something for every camper to enjoy, especially choosing their schedules rather than following the same group of campers. Also, in Camp Horizons, many counselors are extremely kind and helpful. There are many cool campers and I have made many friends that I get along well with. I will always remember Camp Horizons because it has been a great experience.

I have been attending this camp for 9 years and love every second of it. The people in it make it a wonderful camp! My fellow campers are always considerate and friendly, and my counselors are always helpful. At the end of every school year, I am always excited for another 2 months at camp. I am always eager to meet up with the many friends I have made here.

I have been going to Camp Horizons for 6 years and I would never go anywhere else. I love everything about it. The counselors are friendly and always have fun with the kids. I like how we can choose our own activities. I don't really like sports, but I wouldn't want to be in an all art activities either. Here, I can take one period of Swimming and the rest Art.

Camp Horizons has introduced me to many different types of Sports, Arts and Crafts, and other activities that I would not have had the chance to participate in at any other summer camp. The environment of Newark Academy provides many different choices for campers' activities. The Art Department not only offers serious "art-like" Drawing and Easel Painting, but also offers crafts for enjoyment like Kissin' Critters. Of course, Camp Horizons is great for kids who love Sports and campers who want to take activities of all kinds. I personally love Camp Horizons because of the great friendships I've made and the fun activities. I hope to continue my Camp Horizons experience when I am old enough to be a counselor.

Camp has been enjoyable for me since I began in the 5th grade. Starting in the morning, where every camper, whether their parents drive them or they take the mini-bus, is greeted by counselors at the door. Once you arrive you can talk to your friends in the auditorium. Then after the morning announcements you follow your very own schedule. The counselors are very friendly and are willing to help you when you need it. In Rocketry, you build rockets and then get to launch them with your family watching! Now that I'm older, I enjoy having the option of attending the shows on Friday afternoon, or continuing with my schedule.
